About the Event
If you have a product, service, workshop, class, or membership to sell, the best thing you can do is set up an Instagram account to build your audience.
There are an estimated 30.6m Instagram users in the Uk and now over a billion users worldwide. This means that nearly half of the population in the UK have an Instagram account and they use it to connect with their friends and family, discover brands, get ideas and inspiration for their homes, find their community, learn, share and shop.
Having an Instagram account is a fabulous first step but it can feel a little overwhelming to know exactly what you should be posting, where, how often and how to actually get people to follow you and buy from you. One thing you cannot do is start advertising to them in posts!
In this workshop, I will introduce you to the main tools and settings in Instagram, help you set up your page, and show you how you can optimise it so you create a brilliant first impression. I will share best practices on how to share content, write captions and use tags, and introduce you to some of the other main tools - stories, reels and lives.
What we will cover:
- Setting up your Business, Personal or Creator profile
- Writing a great bio with an effective call to action and image
- Identifying and segmenting your audience
- How the algorithm works so your content gets found
- Content - content pillars, planning & best practices
- Using tags & hashtags in posts and videos
- Ways to grow your following, including collaborations and reels
- Engagement - including an intro to stories
- Setting Goals - using your insights
